Roleplaying with AI. Language Text Games – Doris Molero

The purpose of the webinar is to introduce English teachers to roleplaying with AI as a new and innovative method of language learning. Participants will learn how to use AI systems as conversation partners or guides in text-based or voice-based adventure games. They will explore different scenarios and themes that can be adapted to different levels and interests of their students, and learn how to evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of roleplaying with AI for their teaching goals and needs.

Doris Molero (Ed.D) a.k.a Pionia Destiny combines teaching as a way to learn, education technology, and teaching for peace. Passionate about language learning, instructional design and related educational technologies, specifically 3D Multi-User Virtual Environments for situated, experiential, collaborative, project-based learning and AI. Got her B.A. in Modern Languages from LUZ, holds a postgraduate degree in Educational Informatics, and a doctorate in Education Sciences from URBE. Doris Molero, also known as Pionia Destiny, is a devoted educator blending teaching methods, educational technology, and a focus on peace. She is enthusiastic about language learning, instructional design, and innovative educational technologies, especially 3D virtual environments and artificial intelligence for interactive and collaborative learning.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages from LUZ, a postgraduate diploma in Educational Informatics, and a doctorate in Education Sciences from URBE. Doris is proficient in using educational technology for both fully online and hybrid courses, with tools like Moodle, Google, social media, virtual worlds, and AI.
Currently, she teaches English at the Institute of Distance Education and Educational Technology at Universidad San Pablo in Tucuman, Argentina. Additionally, Doris is the Electronic Village Online Coordinator for 2022-2025 and is actively involved with TESOL’s CALL-IS (Computer-Assisted Language Learning Interest Section).
